Definition of Cocked Hat Double

Cocked Hat Double is a billiards slang term that is a part of Snooker Terminology.

Cocked hat double refers to a snooker shot where a double is performed off three cushions. A cocked hat double is considered to be an extremely difficult shot to make, and one that would generally never be played for any reason other than for a shot for nothing. An example of a cocked hat double would be a double made around the baulk colors and then into a center pocket.
