Definition of Two Way Shot

Two Way Shot is a billiards term that is a part of Billiard Technique Terminology.

The term two way shot relates to cue sports and billiards in a number of specific ways. A two way shot may refer to a billiard shot that is both offensive and defensive at the same time. This is as such because if the target is missed on a shot, the shooter's opponent is safe or will not have a shot that is desirable. It may also refer to a shot in which the shooting player has two ways of scoring. There is a third alternative use for the term two way shot. It refers to a billiard shot where a secondary goal, other than to pocket the initially targeted ball, it also attempted. This secondary goal may be to position another object ball for the next shot, or to break another object

Two Way Shot - Usage

I'm going to attempt to also move the 6 ball away from that cluster in the same shot that I try to pocket the 4 ball. This is an example of a two way shot because the shot has two goals or outcomes.
