Refinishing An Old Meucci Original Cue

Refinishing An Old Meucci Original Cue

Check out this old Meucci cue that I am refinishing. Most of the clearcoat is worn off of this cue. Especially from bottom half of wrap to butt.

Just look at the tenon from handle to butt. It's awfully short. No wonder it fell off! The weight bolt was the only thing holding the ass end of cue in place:

After repairing the butt, I will be just hitting this with a couple coats of clear coat before doing the wrap and clearcoating over wrap.

That just goes to show how the quality of Meucci cues has slipped.

By the way BHQ nice work as always.

The Meucci I am refinishing is from mid 1980's. You know, way back when Jeff Duke was doing the hustle in his polyester disco clothes.  stayin' alive, stayin' alive. Ha ha ha ha stayin' aliveeeeeeee!

Very nice work once again Brent.

The finish looks terrific, the whole cue looks better than new.

By the way, thanks again for the help with those pins you sent along with all the extra stuff. That was above and beyond what I expected, as usual, and was very generous of you.

I had the pleasure of seeing this cue and it looks so much better than the pictures show.

I have the pleasure of owning this cue and it sure does look better than the pics show, and hits great.

I can only play at night as the finish is so bright and shiny have to wear sunglasses if i play in the daytime.

Nice to hear from you again.

Floyd, glad to see you join up here.

Everyone. Watch Floyd's jump shot with one of my jump cues:

Wow, really, really, really, really great work on this one!

Man, I really need to design my custom pool cue. It is starting to kill me when I look at these threads.
