Dufferin Thrift Find Turning Out to Be Unique

Dufferin Thrift Find Turning Out to Be Unique

I found this for cheap at a thrift shop, didn't think much of it at the time, just building my cue collection and thought it would be a good house cue to keep my less experienced friends away from my better cues. I saw the little Canadian Dufferin logo, but there was no maple leaf insignia anywhere to be found. I brought it home and realized its about 60 inches long. I tried it out and it was immediately the best feeling cue I've ever used.

I've done a bit of research and have found that it is a Dufferin "Crown" cue, based on the coat of arms inlay, and based on the extra length. One user on this site referred to these as the "creme de la creme" of collectible Dufferin cues, however all of those that I found still had the color-coded maple leaf inlay, which this does not. Any insight into the age/story of this seemingly unique Dufferin?

Thanks in advance!
