Pool Rules for the Amos and Andy Board?

Pool Rules for the Amos and Andy Board?

I am looking for billiard rules for the Amos and Andy boards. Does anyone remember this popular pool hall game?

I just built an Amos & Andy board to play but can't remember all the rules. Can anyone help me out?

Our local pool hall has an old board I used for measurements but am having a difficult time finding anyone who remembers how to play.

This question relates to the following billiard rules:

Good morning! Are you 100% sure that is the name of the game? "Amos & Andy Board"?

Also, would you be able to post a picture of two of the one you built?

    UPDATE:

Okay - so I guess you aren't the only one on the net that has heard of this. So apparently, it's a billiard game that made use of an "amos and andy board" for keeping score, and also for use during play.

As to Amos and Andy, how many remember the pool (billards for our UK folk) game that used an Amos and Andy board? I would love to find an old Amos and Andy board! I grew up in a pool hall, my father and grand father owned one. It was one of there several businesses that they owned...

Also, amos and andy rules have been posted.

There is also a whack of information on the Amos & Andy Billiard Board in this other thread.

Yeah, we used to play 31 on the one in the pool hall that I raised myself in. I dont know if anyone makes an Amos board anymore but you can get a keno board by googling keno boards for pool tables, and following.

@mickey.futrell - Check out this post on amos and andy billiard board games.

On that post, you'll notice a member, homerlee, is making the boards for roughly $300 dollars each. I'm not sure about the quality, I've never seen his work, but he offers to send you photos of his work. Also, I have no idea if $300 is a good price or not...

My husband is working on a construction site in an old downtown portion of our town. He found a small round wooden marble with one side flat. An older gentleman told him it was a piece to and old game called Amos & Andy. There was an old pool hall at the location at one time. Could someone tell me if this is part of the board game you are all talking about? My searches led me to this website.

Go to this website for an auction I am attending tomorrow. There is a picture of the Amos and Andy Check and Double Check game board that you're all talking about!

OK, as I posted on 1/1/10, I went to the auction and was the winner of the auction for the Amos and Andy board. It's pretty neat! I plan to hang it on the wall next to my pool table, mainly as a conversation piece. However, if anyone is interested in buying it from me, let me know. My email address is vickiperkins@gmail.com.
