Definition of Nip Draw

Nip Draw is a billiards slang term that is a part of Billiard Technique Terminology.

Nip draw is a jabbed, short draw shot that is normally utilized by billiard players so as to prevent fouls from occurring in situations where the cue ball is extremely close to the target object ball. The nip draw shot is commonly used to prevent a double hit on the shot's follow through.

Nip Draw - Usage

Your cue ball is awfully close to that object ball, so you may want to use a nip draw shot.
