What Years Were Fischer Empire VII Pool Tables Made?
I have a Fischer Empire VII pool table with serial number 73504, and I was wondering if anyone had any info on when it was built.
The pool table is in excellent shape and shoots great.

The Fischer Empire VII was a great pool table. They were made in the early- to mid-1960s. The Fischer Empire VIII models were around in 1969 so you can assume it to be older than 1969.
There is no way to find the exact year of manufacture though. The company is no longer around and there are no know surviving records from their manufacturing operations.

I am inheriting my Great Grandfather's marble-top Fischer Empire VII pool table that he purchased in February 1968 (he kept the receipt).
I'm going to have to disassemble it to move it, but I can't find any information on its assembly.
Since you both have this model, I wondered if you can offer any advice or if you might know the answer to some of my questions.
- There aren't any visible screw heads or obvious removable panels to be able to take off the bumpers so the marble can be lifted out. Do you know how to get the bumpers off?
- Is it a one-piece or three-piece marble top surface?
Thanks for any advice or info you can offer!

@user1653455525 - see this post which shows some photos of a Fischer pool table with the rails removed. Not sure if it will help as it's a bit of a different model. I believe they are disassembled from underneath (which is best done with the pool table flipped over).
- Identify Version of Fischer Cavalier Pool Table (V, VII, VIII, etc.)
- Old Fischer Pool Table Info - this one mentioned that they are disassembled when flipped over. See about half-way down.
- Fischer Regent Coin-Op Pool Table Restoration Project - Lots of pics of a different Fischer model disassembled. It's not the same model as yours, but the pics may help.
I believe the Fischer pool tables with a marble bed were all one-piece. Here are three previous questions which reference the marble bed as a one-piece:
- Value of Fischer Empire VII Pool Table with Marble Top
- Info on 1957 Fischer Coin-Op Pool Table with Marble Top
- Disassembly and Moving of a 7-foot Fischer Pool Table
Hope that helps.

The Fischer Empire VII is a great pool table but is a beast to move.
There are four Formica panels which slide/wedge out (one on each side just below the rails). That allows the entire rail assembly to be removed and disassembled. Be very careful as there are no replacement parts available for the corners of the rails!
The top is very heavy. Mine has a one-piece slate. The carcass and legs come apart.
That's about it.
This is my Fischer Empire VII pool table today. It was built circa 1965.
