tight or smaller pockets

tight or smaller pockets

how do you make the pockets smaller or tighter. a friend told me the are custom rails that you got to buy them longer and cut them to a shorter angle so the pockets arnt as wide. right now i can fit about 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 balls in the pocket. i want it to where you can barley fit two balls. is he right or can i buy them already like that. help me out thanks

Why don't you contact some manufactors or table makers. There may be an insert you can use to make the pocket smaller.

They are called "carom plugs" and they were patented (and originally made by) Brunswick Billiards.

Give me a few minutes to upload pics and info to a new thread...

Updated with a new post here. Unfortunately, there isn't a lot available commercially today, but there is one product, the pool table pocket reducer, that should achieve your purpose of making your billiard table's pockets smaller.
