   I normally don't promote other sites on here, but you will find some anecdotal reading on the following blog:

   It's got a lot of billiard history stories, told in a really neat way. It's a subsidiary of poolhistory.com (of which we aren't affiliated with whatsoever)

   I came across this post while looking for info on pool player Harold Worst.

   In the 1960s I worked for a billiard supply company called Cue Master in Detroit, MI.

   Harold Worst helped to sponsor a tournament in Detroit at the fair grounds.

   I think I took 8 mm video of that tournament, but it has no sound. I think Harold Worst may have been in them.

   Also, playing there was:

   • Corn Bread Red
   • Minnesota Fats
   • Luther "Wimpy" Lassiter
   • ...and others.

   If I remember correctly, Harold Worst had beat them all and won all the events that weekend, I think.
