Nice 3rd catalog Palmer model 16 cue. It was introduced in 1971 and was available into the 1980s.

I'm not the right person to comment on the value, though there are a few others here who are qualified and may come along after with some thoughts on it's value today.

Here is a little information on the Model 16 cue from the 3rd Palmer Cue catalog:

Palmer Model 16 Cue - Palmer Deluxe

This model offers a reverse four prong color inlaid butt with a tasteful arrangement of mother-of-pearl inlays in various shapes in the ebony top as well as the bottom section. A stainless steel joint accented with white mother-of-pearl and black fibre collars and a mother-of-pearl butt cap, the wrapping in your choice of colors make this one of the most popular in our DeLuxe series.

    Here's some additional info:

This cue is based on the famed Palmer Model "J" cue from the 2nd catalog.

A new inlay shape appeared which gave the cue a distinguished look. Gone was the window, and a pearl butt cap appeared in it's place. This is a handsome cue.

Most of the 3rd catalog Palmer model 16 cues had forearms made by Gus Szamboti's people. Palmer was winding down their in-house forearm building at the time and more blanks were obtained from outside sources. The Szamboti-built cues had points ending closer to the joint collar than the typical Palmer. These cues were not built in large numbers.

The Palmer Model 16 cue is worth $1200, minus the shafts, which should be 12.75 mm.

Thank you all for your help in educating me here and in my original question—ID and Value of a 1980s Palmer Pool Cue.

It does appear that I Have a Palmer Deluxe Model 16 cue.

It is a cherished piece that deserves some play.
