Definition of Stiff

Stiff is a billiards slang term that is a part of Billiard Technique Terminology.

A stiff is a bank sitting at an angle that cannot be safely played. This type of shot situation is sometimes referred to as a stiff. Also, in gambling terms, to stiff someone is to not pay them after a loss.

Stiff - Usage

That is one hell of a stiff shot on the 7 ball. You can't stiff Jeff like that, but since he normally kicks your butt, I can't blame you.
