Definition of Freeze Out

Freeze Out is a billiards slang term that is a part of Gambling and Betting Terminology.

Setting a specific amount of money or amount of billiard games that both players agree must be met. For example, a 5 ahead 1500 freeze out refers to a billiard match that will be played for $300 a game with the pay point at the 5 game mark.

Freeze Out - Usage

This week's match is a 5 ahead 1500 freeze out. There is a lot more at stake than normal.
