Definition of Fan

Fan is a billiards term that is a part of Billiard Technique Terminology.

To fan is to play the cue ball by barely skimming it off an object ball with a very thin hit on the object ball while rolling the cue ball to a desired location.

Fan - Usage

Just fan the 7 ball and it will veer almost directly right in to the corner pocket.
