Need All Available Points, Opponent Knocks Ball off Table

I require all the available points on the table, my opponent knocks a red off of the table.

I get 4 points for the foul and the red is not put back on the table, so I am at a disadvantage as I now require snookers to win.

Is this not unfair on me and what (if anything) is done to prevent my opponent playing an advantageous foul?
