    Thank you so much, but are you sure that this is the newest regulation standard size for an eight-foot pool table?

    Well, in actuality, a table sitting in the field has about 1/8-1/4 inch of adjustment at the rails anyways.So it can be shimmed down, or up depending on how hard you want it to be to pot a ball. A table machanic can increase this adjustment by about 3X in one direction or the other, and change the entrance to the pockets at the same time.

    There has been no change in pool table sizes in about 6 decades (or longer).

    The only other size is the Diamond 8 tables are 45" rather than the 44" standard size and the 46" 8 foot plus sizes. The diamond tables are all 45" to avoid having to do 2 tables of this size range. {Remembering from info available at the diamond site itself.}

    There is one spec that has changed in the last 20 years, and that is the bed height. Some manufacture figured out that lowering the bed of the table to its min acceptable height saved enough money to "do it". This gives pool players back pain and unless you know the cause of the pain, you are unaware of how to fix the issue. Raising the bed to 31.5" makes for a more playable table.

    Various organizations (BCA, APA, VENA, WPPA) have rules designed to allow any unmodified table from any reputable manufacture to be used in any tournament (with appropriate cloth conditions).

    A regulation sized pool table is 4.5' x 9'.

    Pool table dimensions vary depending upon what country it is made in and what place it is bought from.

    Most pool tables have a size range of 3.5 ft x 7 ft, 4 ft x 8 ft, 4.5 ft x 9 ft, 5 ft x 10 ft, and 6 ft x 12 ft. The sizes represent the actual playing surface and these standards do vary a little.
