Value of Older AE Schmidt Pool Table with Ball Return
I am trying to determine the value of an older AE Schmidt pool table with ball return system.
My uncles estate is being settled and this pool table is for sale. When I was a kid I actually moved this into the basement of his business.
I was thinking it has 1-piece slate but my cousin thinks it’s a 3-piece slate. I felt around where there would be joints on a 3 piece but all seemed smooth. I guess removing the felt would be only for sure indicator.
Does anyone have any idea what it’s worth? They are asking $600 but it’s going to be expensive to hire a mover to get it out of basement.

The good news - it looks to be in wonderful shape for it's age.
The bad news - the market for used pool tables of this age is the worst it has ever been. Since 2008, we've been seeing a mass-sell off of older pool tables on the classified sites. People are giving them away for free.
I think it is priced well at $600.
Does it have more than $600 worth of value, arguably yes. Will you find a buyer interested at a price above $600, in a reasonable time? Not likely.
Regarding the slate, I am not 100% sure. You wouldn't feel the seams if it was installed properly. It would have beeswax on the seams, effectively making it feel "seamless".
