Value of a 8-Foot Fischer Pool Table with One-Piece Slate
I'm selling my home with my 8-foot Fischer pool table in it which I've had since 1976.
It's an 8-foot Fischer pool table with one-piece slate.
I recently had it re-clothed. It is in perfect condition.
I am curious about the value of the pool table.

billiardsforum on 1/30/2019 3:17:22 PMYou are right, it's in great shape. These 1970's Fischer pool tables are solid, and are a great home pool table.
However, they are about as out-dated as they come in terms of styling, and people just aren't buying them.
Couple that with an overall horrible market for used pool tables in general, and you are left with something that is probably worth more to you than you'll ever get at market.
You can go on the classified sites and routinely see folks giving these away for free. Makes it hard to get a decent price.
Don't be surprised if a buyer includes a condition that you take the pool table with you.

I ended up selling my Fischer pool table with the house. It belongs in that rec room. That Fischer has been my pool table since 1975 and I finally shot my last game on it on December 3rd when we closed on the house. A photo of it is saved as my lock screen on the phone, so For the time being I still have the table with me.
Besides, when I get a new pool table, I'd like something with drop pockets.
