9FT Brunswick Gold Crown Willie Mosconi Pockets

9FT Brunswick Gold Crown Willie Mosconi Pockets

I have a 9' Brunswick gold crown table, with black pocket corners that have pictures of past billiard players like Willie Mosconi etc. It has the under table rail ball return. Does anyone know how old this table may be, and what its value is?

The pool table is in very good condition, and was left in the house by the previous owner. I am just curious of what I have here.

Sounds like you REALLY lucked in if this table was left in the house you purchased.

Willie Mosconi was considered one of the best billiard players ever. He has been in over twenty Hollywood films, and has won world championships more than any other player. Between the years of 1941 and 1957, he won the BCA World Championship of pool an amazing fifteen times.

The fact that you have photographs to authenticate his use of the table, there would be extreme added value.

Who owned the house before you? Do you have a history of the ownership?

Also, would you mind posting a photo here for us to check out?

Yes, a photo would help. How old does Mosconi look in the photo?

Do you mean that the pockets themselves have pictures of these players printed right on them?

Ginger - I think you may have misunderstood the question perhaps. Can you clarify this gbarrows?

I'm sorry, the pictures are embedded in the table at each pocket. I'm guessing this was an optional accessory at some point, or maybe a "special edition table"?

Thanks for the update. I've contacted Brunswick, and am currently waiting on a reply. I'll report back as soon as I find out the table's details.

Also, can you clarify exactly where the images are embedded? Are they in /on the wood rails near the pocket, in the felt, or in the pocket backs themselves?

Here was Brunswick's response: "We regret to inform you that our archives show no information on embossed pockets with player's faces."

I just wanted to follow up on this post I started. Thanks for the update from Brunswick, this should be interesting. I have taken a couple digital photos of my table, and maybe you can view them and forward them to Brunswick. I can't wait to see Brunswick's response. The pic's will follow on my next post.

Sorry for the inconvenience, i'll investigate the upload issue. I've asked the admin to email you, and you can send the pool table images when you get a chance, and we'll post.

I've never come across a Gold Crown billiard table with the Mosconi images embedded at the corners.

Do you have any with the manufacturer info, or the name of the company who made the table? (check the underneath the pool table, under the frame.)
