9-Foot Brunswick Rochester Pool Table Value

Does anyone have any idea what a 9-foot Brunswick Balke-Collender "Rochester" model is worth?

It is a 9' carom and pocket billiards combination pool table with custom rails to convert from pocket billiards to a carom table.

It is in very good condition.

   With these Antique pool tables there are usually two types of values (which are often very different):

   1. Market Value - How much the pool table is worth in terms of what you can get for it if you were to put it on the market.
   2. Replacement Value - If you lost your pool table in, say, a fire, how much money would it take to acquire a replacement in similar condition.

   The latter is often way higher (sometimes double or more), but the longer you can wait to sell if you were to put it on the market, the closer the two values become.

   In your specific case, both of the above values would be a little higher than the average for that model given the fact that your Brunswick Rochester pool table is a 9-footer, and also has the carom conversion kit. It also seems to be in very good condition

   Here's what I have from classifieds data for Brunswick Balke-Collender "Rochester" pool tables, in terms of asking prices:

   1. 2024 - 9-Foot Antique Brunswick Rochester Pool Table - $5000 USD (OBO)

      • Beautiful antique Brunswick "Rochester" 9ft model pool table circa 1904-1908. Oak base and rosewood rails with original unrestored finish are in excellent condition. 3-piece 1" thick slate top. Table has been in the family and well cared for since 1969. Cushions and pockets were replaced in 1981 and new felt in 2004... all still in great condition. Includes pool table cover, cue sticks and Belgian balls. $5,500 or best offer.

   2. 2017 - Circa 1920 Brunswick Rochester 9ft Pool Table, Excellent Condition - $8000 USD

      • 9' Brunswick Rochester pool table with a full ball return system, new bumpers, and new purple cloth installed. The Table is in near perfect condition, has 6 legs, and is made from solid mahogany and rosewood. It has leather pockets with leather gullys that go into ball return tubes which are very quiet. Must see to appreciate.

   ...and it's not very likely that either of them actually sold for that much.

   In the end though, it is extremely difficult to realize anywhere close to what these old antique pool tables are probably really worth.

   Buyers paying the top dollar (say, $5000 and upward) usually want something old that has been meticulously restored and is virtually flawles.
