Replacing Cushions
How can you tell when it is time to replace the cushions on a pool table? My table is about 2 years old, and nothing has been replaced yet. I fear that they are getting bad, but that I'm just not experienced enough to know how that "feels" yet.

Pool table cushions are generally one of the last parts of a table that need to be replaced. They are however susceptible to "dry rot" which affects how the table plays.
More common than that, is that cushions will sometimes come apart from the rails. This is usually caused from people sitting on the edge of the table.
Other than that, some recommend following this rule of thumb for billiard table cushion replacement: If you decide to have your table re-covered with new cloth, this would be a good time to replace the cushions.
