Replacement Ball Return Mechanism for Victor Pool Table

Replacement Ball Return Mechanism for Victor Pool Table

I’m trying to find a Victor Billiards ball return system. The one on my 9-foot Victor Billiards table has deteriorated.

Does anyone know where I can purchase a replacement Victor Billiards ball return system?

I believe the great grandson of the original brothers who owned Victor Billiards can re-tube the original ball return rails.

DO NOT THROW THAT AWAY. You will never find another set!

    Lanza Billiard Co.
    1351, 209 Eversham Ave.
    W. Magnolia NJ. 08049

    Good luck!

FYI: I took an alternate approach…

I just finished resurrecting my Victor Billiards Cleveland Standard pool table after it spent 3 decades in pieces in my basement.

I was faced with a deteriorated ball return with disintegrated rubber and rusted clamps.

After touching base with Ed Lanza, I decided to go rogue, and was able to fabricate a return using 3-inch PVC, all for under $120 from the box store.

I can provide you additional construction photos, inclusive of one that is effectively a measured drawing.

    Absolutely brilliant!

The only drawback I would think, it's really not a silent ball return as they originally developed using the rubber as the silencer? But still brilliant.

I would be interested in more information and measurements, because it is definitely another viable option.

I am interested in your ball return design and construction information.

I think Ed charges around $600 plus shipping costs to refurbish the original Lanza ball return system.

The return is definitely louder than the original Lanza. I figured I wouldn't mind that and, in fact, I don't.

A potential countermeasure (that I didn't bother with) would be to line some/most/all of the PVC bottom with felt.

I've uploaded a 14 page, 5 MB, pdf file below containing construction pictures and a running commentary.

    Thanks for the design!

Did you purchase replacement gulley boots? If so, what kind? Thank you!

As they had remained decently in shape, I kept with the originals.
