Here are some tips for hanging a home pool table light, I assume your light is on chains.

    • Turn all billiard room lights off except for the pool table light you want to adjust.
    • Do the work at night for the best results.
    • Start with a height of 24 inches/two feet above the playing surface and increase the height until only the table is illuminated. You'll find that this height should be about 30 inches to 36 inches above the playing surface, depending on the size of the light and table, and the type and brightness of the bulbs.
    • Try to only use florescent lights over my tables as Incadenscent lamps throw multiple shadows which WILL interfere with your game.
    • Remember that the primary pool table lamp is designed to illuminate the pool table and nothing else.

    I hope this helps.
