Is This a Real Brunswick Pool Table?

Is This a Real Brunswick Pool Table?

How can I authenticate a Brunswick pool table? I bought this table off Craigslist recently and was wandering if it was real or not

How can I tell if it is a real Brunswick Billiards pool table?

You have a Brunswick Santa Fe pool table. It was manufactured by Brunswick between 1983 and 1991 and appeared in the brochures until 1992. Here it is shown in the 1992 brochure:

Here are the details from the 1983 Brunswick Santa Fe pool table "sell sheet".

Technical Information: From the 1987 Brunswick Billiards Santa Fe sell sheet:

The Santa Fe features bold massive lines of oak. Designed and crafted by the leader in home recreation for over 135 years, the Santa Fe will be a cherished piece of fine furniture for generations.

A 2 ¼-inch thick, full-length center beam provides lasting strength and four cross supports insure maximum rigidity. Oak rails are supported by and bolted through the slate. The three-piece slate is precision ground to within 10/1000 of an inch.

SUPER SPEED® cushions, the standard of the industry, provide maximum accuracy and true ball rebound.

The Santa Fe with its distinctive styling and superior playability is likely to become a favorite.

    • Rails: Oak rails are supported by and bolted through the slate for maximum rigidity. Specially designed floating nut plate allows rail to be precisely positioned and permanently pulled down to the slate.
    • Finish: Handsome furniture finish enhances natural oak beauty.
    • Cushions: SUPER SPEED® canvas-backed cushions, the standard of the industry, assure maximum accuracy, true ball rebound and consistent playability.
    • Sights: Pearlized inlaid sights have a maximum tolerance of 30/1000 of an inch for accurate play.
    • Cloth: Billiard cloth is optional; however Brunswick recommends a professional wool/nylon blend to assure excellent playability.
    • Pockets: All pocket openings made to exacting industry standards. Leather net pockets are accented with brown suede fringe.
    • Slate: Three-piece, precision ground slate provides a permanent level playing surface. Slate is precision-machined level to within 10/1000 of an inch and extends underneath the rails for consistent playability.
    • Base Frame: Base frame is composed of two full-length side beams and full-length 2 ¼-inch thick center beam for lasting strength. Four cross supports provide additional rigidity.

Machine nuts and bolts are used for maximum stability.

1991 Approximate Manufacturer suggested retail price:

    • 7' with 1" framed slate: MSRP $2,500
