Info on a Mahogany Hempstead Model Pool Table
I am looking for information on an 8-foot mahogany "Hempstead" pool table.
I only know that the billiards table was referred to as a "Hempstead Mahogany" 8' x 4' pool table with a beige felt surface.
I am trying to find out its approximate value.
It was sold by a dealer in Glendale, AZ and has only been played on four times.
It is practically brand new.
If you can help me asap I would very grateful.

billiardsforum on 6/11/2021 2:36:36 AMContact Vegas Pool Table Movers at (702) 219-1200. They have a photo of a Hempstead pool table on their website under "New Pool Tables", but they don't list a price or a manufacturer. They might know it's retail price.
The wood is may not actually mahogany. That may be the stain/color name.
Either way, it's a residential, furniture-grade pool table. It's most likely an inexpensive import, and these don't sell for much, used. They are imported by dealers and big box stores, marked way up (e.g. $4999) to a "regular price", then "heavily discounted" to their actual value. It's a common marketing tactic for these imports.
The market is flooded with good used pool tables. Commercial-grade ones get top dollar. Residential-grade used pool tables are usually a dime a dozen unless they are from one of the top U.S. brands like Brunswick, Olhausen, Gandy, etc.
It depends on your exact market, and what's available there at any given time. Just do some research on your local classified sites. Price your pool table the same as any other non-descript residential grade pool table.
