Could this be a Brunswick Gold Crown Table?

Could this be a Brunswick Gold Crown Table?

Could this be a Brunswick Gold Crown pool table?

I have arrangements to pick up this pool table on Friday. Providing that nothing is terribly wrong with it, I plan on buying it regardless.

I was wondering if anyone could help me in identifying this as a Brunswick Gold Crown pool table (or not). I'm not buying to resell it, but rather, for the chance that it could be one along with factoring in the agreed upon price of $550. I must say has me feeling like a kid on Christmas eve.

The photos are too small for me to make it out.

If it indeed is a Brunswick Gold Crown table, and it is indeed in good shape, then I would say that $550 is a great price. You'll have yourself a commercial-grade professional pool table.

It certainly does look like a Brunswick Gold Crown IV (GC 4 pool table). See the last table in the guide below which shows the differences in versions of the Gold Crown pool table line.

By the way - let us know how it goes with the pick-up today.

Sorry to disappoint but the table in the pictures is not a Gold Crown. If it were, the price would be more than reasonable. To identify the table, I would suggest that you peruse the Brunswick catalogs that can be found (somewhere) online. I'm sorry but for some reason I cannot locate the link.

The parts certainly have a Brunswick look about them, specifically the feet and the score counters.

Good luck with the table and your quest to determine the model. Check back and post better pictures.

I've come to find out that it was not a Brunswick Gold Crown, however, it is a Saunier Wilhem pool table.

Unfortunately, it might not be a Saunier Wilhem pool table either.

Saunier Wilhem serviced a great many pool tables in their day. They were a full-service pool table maintenance company and would have held many contracts to look after fleets of pool tables in bars, pool halls, etc.

Many name plates were replaced with Saunier Wilhem plates when the maintenance was done e.g. cushion and cloth replacements, etc.

This was common practice back in the day.

As was also the case among cue makers who operated on a certain street in Elizabeth NJ.
