Any Ideas What Kind of Pool Table This Coin Op Table Is?

It has been in the family for almost 30 years. It came out of the small pool hall in our town of 319 people when it was shut down and now it has made it's way to my house.

I already have an appointment to get it recovered and I plan on cleaning it all up before they get here. It is missing some pieces as you can see in the pictures so I would like to find out what kind it is so I can maybe locate some of those missing parts.

Sorry the pics aren't so good. I need to replace a couple of lights in my basement, but with 14' ceilings it's kind of a pain.

So that patent number currently belongs to Kidde, Inc, which is the parent company of Kidde Consumer Durables Corp, which was, at one time, the parent company behind Valley pool tables. I believe they are based out of NJ.

Yours is a Valley coin-op pool table made between May and December 1976 (as indicated by the serial number). This number also identifies the "standard production color" as "Pecan".

Using your serial number, you should be able to get in touch with Valley-Dynamo and request parts. This would be my first contact. (valley-dynamoparts.com). NOTE: You will need to be 110% sure of the exact size of your table before ordering the parts.

I am pretty sure your table is a Valley "Big Cat" model "39" (or an earlier predecessor). These were later reincarnated as the Cougar line featuring a nearly identical design (1990s). But funny, the Valley-Dynamo archives say this (regarding the photo below):

    Valley Model 15/25/35/45
A larger view of the Pecan laminate Valley model 15/25/35/45 as built between 1975 and 1977.

    Some parts available

Please note, we referred to several tables of totally different model numbers as "Big Cats". You do not own a "Big Cat", you've never played on a "Big Cat", there was never an actual table sold as "The Big Cat", the numerical model number-- according to table size-- is what will be recognized.

Hope this helps point you in the right direction.

That is awesome information. The "pecan" colored finish on it has plenty of character to it from being moved several times and the owner the past 10 years was a heavy smoker so I am thinking about cleaning it all up and having it vinyl wrapped.
