A Shot by "Red" at The Rack—It Was Amazing

Remember "The Rack" in Baton Rouge?

I remember winning some very tall trophies then, but there was a guy we called Red. He was the best. I saw him win the 3rd game of the finals where he won $10,000 and a trip for two to Hawaii.

It was the 3rd game and on the break he called the 8 ball in the corner pocket. He broke with a mighty stroke and when the cue ball cleared all of the balls it backed up and then spun forward towards the only ball sitting in the middle which was the 8 ball. It spun forward like a golf ball on a green spinning back from a well struck sand wedge and hit the 8 ball in the pocket he called.

It was the greatest shot I ever saw.
