I'm Matthew Landry, an APA/TAP player in upstate New York. I built a lineup calculation tool for league captains called LineUp Magic (lineupmagic.com).

It generates all valid lineup combinations for 8-Ball, 9-Ball, and 10-Ball based on customizable skill caps and roster sizes. So it'll work with any leage that has skill level caps similar to APA or TAP rules.

Player can’t make it? Just mark them absent and run it. The tool instantly shows every lineup that makes numbers.

Want to test scenarios? Say there are two players you know you want in the lineup... mark them “must play.” Run the tool and it will show every lineup where those players are included (if the numbers work).

The main goal is to make it useful during league night. The generated lineup list gives captains options they can quickly look at when the other captain puts up or when it's your turn to put up. You can react on the fly as the night progresses instead of trying to do the math in your head.

Anyone can create an account. It runs as a web app—no downloads or installs required.

As someone whose team had to forfeit a match that would have sent us to Vegas, I know mistakes happen. This tool is meant to make lineup decisions fast, accurate, and simple so captains don’t get burned by a numbers mistake.
