ID Minnesota Fats ANW-1-57 Pool Cue

ID Minnesota Fats ANW-1-57 Pool Cue

Could anybody please help me identify this old Minnesota Fats pool cue stick?

I have never seen this Minnesota Fats decal before nor any pool cues which has a joint that fits together like this one.

Another sticker says "ANW-1-57".

Thanks much.

    Apologies for the late reply.

    Could that shaft be fiberglass?

If so, I have a hunch what it might be but I have no real supporting evidence, so take this identification with a healthy dose of skepticism...

I believe it to be a Flex-Craft, Inc. pool cue from Honesdale, PA. Here's why:

    • Fiberglass shaft (if it is actually fiberglass), which was part of their "thing".
    • Weird recessed grip area (which I think was a thing of theirs also)
    • The model number format (e.g. SERIESABBREVIATION-SERIESMODELNUMBER-CUELENGTH) somewhat matches the format on other known Flex-Craft pool cues (see below). I believe the parts of your model number stand for the following (possibly):
      • ANW - The series name, possibly "All Natural Wood" (relating to the wood forearm) or something else.
      • 1 - the model number within the series perhaps
      • 57 - the cue's length
    • The weight sticker size, color, font-face, and font style matches exactly with those on other known Flex-Craft pool cues.
    • The joint - though I can't really see the joint on yours clearly, it does seem to match, more or less identically with those on other known Flex-Craft pool cues.

See the photos in this older question, and also the photos in my answer... mainly will show the joint style and weight sticker style. There is also more info on the company itself in the answer there.

Then, see this photo - also a Flexcraft pool cue - and note the model number format:

The 57 here too, would be the length, I believe. The Sp, I believe, stands for "Sneaky Pete".

After considerable research, that's the best I could do on this one.

...let me know what you think!
