Value of a Huebler 1988 US Open Cue

I am trying to find the value of a Hubler 1988 US Open cue.

I have a like-new Hubler 1988 US Open cue, in the case with one shaft still in the plastic. It's been used only a few times.

I am wondering what it might be worth.

It is also in the original alligator skin case and I am also wondering what that might be worth.

    Is this the same Huebler U.S. Open cue you are talking about?

    It was at the top of that line in the brochure. MSRP was $1000. It would be one of the more sought-after Huebler cues among collectors.

    I love the design of the veneers on that cue.

    I saw some ranges of between $1200 and $3000 depending on condition and number of straight shafts (from Terry B. on AZB in 2016). The $3000 would be for one in un-played condition with the ivory buttcap, buckhorn joint and ferrule, and two original shafts, etc. But above all, condition is everything.

    You'll likely pique the interest of Huebler collectors with this cue. If you are going to sell the cue, and if the condition is decent, my recommendation would be to post lots of high-quality photos with your ad to show the detail, and start high with your asking price.

    Thanks for the comeback.

    That is the cue I have.

    But, I was thinking it was $1800 new in 1988. I called Huebler about it once and they had said that the MSRP was $1800. However no one pays MSRP for a pool cue.

    The post from @billiardsforum above is on the money.

    The case condition would come into play as to whether or not its in great condition as well.

    If the cue is like-new like you said, I would say the bottom of the price range is $1,300 to knowledgeable buyers and more upside if in great condition.

    Could you post pictures you have of the cue and case?
