Value of a Mike Erwin Pool Cue

Value of a Mike Erwin Pool Cue

What is the value of a Mike Erwin pool cue?

I just purchased a cue stick that was signed Mike Erwin (of Erwin Cues, Sarah MS) and I was wondering if I could send a picture of it to you to see if I can get any information. Like, when it was made and the purchase price and the value of it now.

It's in great shape and shoots wonderful. Very beautiful wood.

The first step is to identify the cue, and then go from there, but I don't see it in the archive at erwincues.com.

As you might know, Mike Erwin passed a few years back, and his son, Scott is now running the business and making cues. He has been working under his dad learning to make cues since he was 13 years old.

These Mike Erwin cues are generally under-valued, given the hand-craftsmanship and quality materials that go into them. With that said, however, demand is usually quite high for the Mike Erwin cues. Obviously there are no more of his cues being made, so supply is limited to what is out there.

It is a simple yet beautiful cue. I really like it. You could probably fetch a couple hundred depending on the condition. Maybe more.

Do you mind sharing with us what you paid?

Your best bet at this point would be to email photos to Scott, on the off chance he recognizes it.

Good luck and do let us know what you find out.
