Don't Go Crazy With Sanding Your Cue

Guy brings me his Meucci Original to re-tip. The shaft was like a pencil, 10.27mm. It was the result of 20 plus years of sanding on the shaft.

This is what the ferrule looked like, or at least what was left of it. When I cut off the tip, the ferrule came right off too
