Unidentifiable Cue (Solved - Lishan L-12 Cue)

Unidentifiable Cue (Solved - Lishan L-12 Cue)

We are looking for the cue maker of this pool cue. I was told it looks like an older McDermott cue but I don't think it is. It has no markings on it.

Does anyone have a clue on who made this pool cue?

Nice design in this cue. I am taking a look through some stuff now.

In the meanwhile, can you post a picture of the butt sleeve that has a proper aspect-ratio? The one you posted is obviously distorted.

It is a Lishan pool cue. Model L-12.

    They are Asian imports.

    @Chopdoc - I can't thank you enough!

Is there a chance you have a catalog with the L-12 cue in it, or a link where I may be able to find it on line? I can't find it anywhere.

Here is the cue from an older catalog page.

Manufactured by Kao Kao Industrial Co. Ltd. and distributed by Cue & Case Sales, among others.

I just saw your post about this Lishan cue. I own the exact same cue. I purchased it new with an extra shaft in 1987-88 from a reputable distributor for $600.

It plays excellent and I still use it in APA league play. I get constant compliments on it.

Thank you @holly134wood! This makes me feel that much more confident that I have a match.

Indeed, these cues were not inexpensive. I have a couple in my collection. They are good cues.

The same company made the Cobra Professional cues and the Mizerak Professional Series.

Thank you Chopdoc! The more information I have the better. I truly appreciate it.

What would you take for the imported Lishan pool cue?

    Is it for sale?

I also own a Lishan pool cue from back in the 1980s. I have always wondered about who made it. I just happen to be looking tonight and came across this question.

Would you know the value of this cue, or is it a cheap knock off of some bigger brand?

Thanks for any help you can provide.
