Possible Old Antique Brunswick Cue?

Possible Old Antique Brunswick Cue?

Could this possibly be an old Dufferin cue?

I need some help to identify it either way. I was told it may possibly be an old Dufferin cue due to angled butt.

Can someone identify model and year of this cue?

Can you make out any of the letters that would be going around the circular outline of the logo?

There were also letters in the rectangle below the (bird/angel?), can you make those out?

I mean I can see that there are some raised letters in the circle and in the rectangle, but can't quite make them out in the photo.

Actually, I think it is coming to me... It's most likely an antique Brunswick pool cue circa 1910s-1930s. Looks like a few of these correct? Let me know if any of these strike you as similar and I will dig further.

Also, will need a few pics of the wrap, shaft, and joint as well to narrow it down for you.

I will send more pics of the cue tomorrow. There is no wrap. It is also missing the felt and possibly more

Based on your comments I looked on Google and think it may be a Merry Widow cue. I see the widow markings came in red, blue, and white, but no way to tell now.

Do you think it is worth restoration?

Sounds good. I will wait to tell you what I think until I can see some more photos. I think I have a pretty good idea of the model and year, but will hold off until I can see the whole thing.

When you say that it is missing "the felt" I think you are referring to the Irish linen wrap correct? If I am correct about the model, I don't think it came with one.

Regarding restoration - again tough to say from seeing just the one pic and not knowing exactly what it is, and it's overall condition. Will wait for more photos.

I can tell you that if it is an antique Brunswick pool cue, there are some fantastic cue restoration experts out there who specialize in only Brunswick cues. You would be amazed at what they can do.

Again, will hold off until I can see more photos.
