Older Brunswick Cue

Older Brunswick Cue

I can not find anything on this old Brunswick pool cue.

If anyone can provide any help with identifying the cue, it would be much appreciated.

Notice the joint threads? They are much larger than normal. It came in a nice plush case. I'm assuming it's the original cue case because it has a tag sewn inside that reads "Brunswick, First name in Bowling".

Thank you in advance.

Well no luck here. No luck at the Brunswick site. No luck contacting Brunswick by email.

I guess it's back in the closet with all the rest of the mysteries.

Yeah, there's a period between 1969 and 1976 for which Brunswick doesn't have any brochures or catalogs (with pool cues) in their archives.

It's probably from that era, and that's probably why nobody can help you.

All kids of different cue manufacturers made cues for Brunswick over the years so a different joint pin from what you're used to doesn't really mean a whole lot.

I also just noticed in the photo where there's a piece missing. That's not helping either because we don't know what was there.

Good luck, and do let us know if you find anything further. We'll do the same.

Thank you for the response about the Brunswick cue.

Would you please explain the comment about the missing piece? The cue goes together fine. I can not wrap my head around a piece missing.

In the last photo from your initial question, it appears that there's a missing label or inlay.

Probably either a small strip of decorative inlay or perhaps a small Brunswick label.

Yes, I always thought it could have been a place to personalize your stick with your name.

I remember long ago there was a name plate there with the name "KEN" on it. I have no idea what happen to it though.
