Identify the Year this Cue Was Made?

Identify the Year this Cue Was Made?

I know what type of cue this is, but I’m curious to know when it was made.

Is anyone interested in identifying the cue maker, or helping me identify the year it was made?

The butt was cracked and has been replaced.

    You said:

... but then you go on to ask who the cue maker is.

So, what kind of cue is it?

Can you fill us in if you have more info that you've not shared? I might have catalogs which could tell us when it was made. Help us help you!

Josswest comes to mind actually. If that is the case, knowing what the logo looked like before the butt cap was replaced would help narrow it down perhaps.

Thank you for your reply. Yes it is a Josswest cue. I was curious if it was an obvious Josswest cue because I have never seen another quite like it.

It was given to me by my father. It was the cue I watched him play with for countless hours throughout my childhood.

I am foggy on what the butt cap markings were before he had it replaced. I would like to say it was the marking of the years 72-80 though I’m not positive.

Did Bill Stroud (R.I.P.) catalog his cues? Are there other ways to identify when it was made?

This cue is a prized possession to me and I would love to know more about it.

Yeah, this design doesn't match a single cue in my Josswest catalogs (I don't have all of them), but I've found two - one that matches the forearm, and one that matches the butt sleeve.

These are from Josswest brochures circa mid-late 1980s. I don't have any catalogs from the 1972-1980 period, unfortunately.

This is all I have to offer, but someone may come along who knows something more than I.
