Identify Old High End Falcon Cue

Identify Old High End Falcon Cue

Anyone know anything about this Falcon pool cue?

I am fairly certain it is a model made when the company was in Canada, I've searched for many hours and looked at around 10 different production fliers, and pages of falcon cue pics and have not found anything quite like it.

There are 6 high and 6 low points and you can't tell from these pics but each of the tips for each point is either bone, ivory, or some similar looking material. The inlays are obviously C-N-C, but they are pretty numerous and reasonably intricate.

I got this cue second hand from a pawn shop for $150 with a pre-cat predator 314 shaft, so I know I did well on it as I only paid around what I can get for the shaft, I may keep it to play with it as I find I really like the way it plays.

Found the info on the model number. It's a Falcon ML-8 cue from the Falcon Montreal Series, made around 1998. Original selling price around $1,040.

Great find, this is a great pool cue!

Here's the description of the series from the Falcon website back in 2001:

The Montreal Line features black phenolic linen joint collars with German nickel-silver rings, stainless-steel joints, a black-with-white-specs Irish Linen wrap, a countersunk weight bolt, and intricate design inlays.

I have a similar issue pool cue but I bought mine new in Mississauga, ON around the same time period.

I have emails from Peter Chen, the General manager of Falcon cues. I was told that this cue was a joint venture and it is extremely rare as there were only 6 ever made.

The one I bought is the 19.5 ounce. I would love to know more about it on the technical side, but was told "their record keeping back then was not the greatest".

Anyone else buy or have one of these cue?

Attached is one of the emails and some pics.

    Good info, thanks.

It looks like you tried to upload the email thread, but we can't accept .msg files. You can forward it to contact@billiardsforum.com and I will add it to your post. Would love to see it.

Also it seems that not all of the pics came through as well. Can you send those along too?

I think I have this same Falcon ML-8 cue, and I am looking for it's value.
