Identify Green Logo Mali Cue

Identify Green Logo Mali Cue

I am trying to identify this green-logo Mali pool cue.

Any idea of model or value? What was the quality of this cue?

Also, the shaft is slightly warped. Is there a compatible replacement shaft?

It is probably a Mali T-11 cue from the Mali Trophy Cues series (circa 1980s I think).

    Mali T-11 Cue

Ebony four-prong and Natural Birdseye Maple Stainless steel joint with stainless steel pin and brass shaft insert. Stitch decoration at joint. Black-fleck-on-white IRISH LINEN wrap.

Might be worth in the $200 to $260 range depending on a number of factors.

I am not certain about the proper shaft, but not having an original shaft pretty much kills any premium value from a collector's perspective.

    Thanks so much!

Any thoughts on the quality of this cue when new?

I am thinking of replacing the whole thing as the slight warp in the shaft is getting in my head!

Also, where does one sell a cue like this? Are there really collectors for Mali cues? Where I could be expected to get a good price?

They are generally considered fairly good quality playing cues. I like them.

To sell the cue, you have a few options:

    1. Classified Sites - Folks are always watching classified sites like eBay, Craigslist, Letgo, etc. for good deals on cues.
    2. Facebook (either general cue collector's groups or groups specific to Mali cues)
    3. Cue Sports Forums - post the cue for sale with photos, good descriptions, and pricing and shipping details, to sites like this one (in the Pool Cues for Sale area) and AZ Billiards, etc.
    4. Try selling it locally at your favorite pool halls or within your pool league, etc.
