Identify a Possible Sampaio Cue and Provide a Reasonable Value

Identify a Possible Sampaio Cue and Provide a Reasonable Value

I know very little about pool cues, but happened to grab this cue at an auction for very little because they thought the shop that originally sold the cue was the manufacturer.

I believe it to be a Sampaio cue, but I’m not certain. If anyone can help me figure out the brand, model, and a fair asking price for the cue, I’d really appreciate it.

Thank you for your time.

Most Sampaio cues I have seen have the "made in Portugal" stamp in a different configuration than what is on this cue.

Nor have I ever seen a weight number imprinted on a Sampaio cue as is done on yours.

That's not to say this isn't a Sampaio cue. It could be an earlier rendition.

Does it have a stamp saying "Sampaio"? Typically that would be on the opposite side from the "made in Portugal" imprint.

The Sampaio name and the "made in Portugal" note are stamped on both the but and shaft near the joint.
