Identify a Pool Cue - AI Says is may be a Meucci Cue

A friend brought this to me to sell. It was bought locally in Virginia state.

When I uploaded it to AI, it says it is a Meucci cue.

Help please.

Thanks,
Susie

The best advice I can give anyone is don't use AI to identify pool cues. I've done extensive tests on this, and it only gets it correct about 3% of the time, if that. I really had hoped it would be better, but it's not.

This is is a very poor and inexpensive import knock-off of a famous Meucci design (American-made), originally from the 1980s. The design was originally made as a one-off custom cue for pool legend Jim Rempe. Later, that design was carried forward in a number of future Meucci cue series. All are sought after by Meucci collectors. People often call this design the "Meucci Crown cue", or the "Meucci Crown Jewel cue", or the "Meucci King James Crown cue".

The original one-off cue, which had very intricate inlays, and used rare materials, was from the early 1980s.

then they released a less complicated, less expensive (but still very well made) design in several other lines over the years, due to it's popularity.

Note that the designs in the cues I've shown above are all inlaid into the cue with other materials. On the other hand, your cue's design is simply printed/transferred onto the wood.

The Meucci versions can fetch over $1000 USD depending on condition and which series it was from. Yours on the other hand would be worth less than $20 USD.

Thank you for taking the time to explain it.

    I appreciate the information.
