Id Old Helmstetter Cue with "IV" Roman Numerals
Could anybody help me to identify this vintage Helmstetter cue?
I've bought this Helmstetter pool cue from a friend of mine but I can't find any info about it, can anyone help me?
I sent an email to McDermott sales but they have replied stating that isn't their cue since it has no logo in it.
All I know is that it has this little roman numeral "IV" mark in the butt sleeve and something written in the middle.

billiardsforum on 12/31/2021 9:52:10 AMWhat was it that prompted you to email McDermott? I don't see anything at all indicating that it's one of their cues.
It would be a Helmstetter cue (based on the Helmstetter signature print on the forearm).
See this previous question:
I don't have any supporting documentation on this cue model, as I can't locate it in my archives. I'll continue to keep an eye out.
billiardsforum on 3/31/2026 7:48:35 AMI can identify this model as the Helmstetter 97-4 pool cue from the Helmstetter 97 series, circa 1997.
The roman numerals form a date code representing the month and year of the date of completion of this cue.
Retail at the time was $224 USD at most online retailers.
