This cue appears to be an inexpensive replica of one of the Adam Balabushka tribute cues - the Adam A/H26
I say "inexpensive" because there are some obvious flaws in workmanship, such as the off-center inlays in the butt cap, etc.
The forearm detail doesn't quite match, and the quality isn't what one would expect from the Adam Cue co.

I wonder if he would have been that skilled a cue maker after only 158 cues?
I know he had a great teacher/ mentor so I am just wondering if any learning curve might apply.
The one fact I know about this stick is that my father had won it in Brooklyn in the early 1970s after his tour in Vietnam.
It is still as straight as an arrow and plays perfectly.
You are the first person who's ever criticized this cue. Most people including cue enthusiasts think its a great cue.
Maybe better pictures will help clarify its quality, and I hope they help id the cue.

I meant no disrespect. Sometimes pictures can be deceiving (especially pool cue photos). The additional photos do seem to paint a better picture in terms of quality.
I am not sure the
158
represents the cue number (it may, but it's not clear as we don't know the maker yet). You also mentioned:

Who are you referring to in that statement?
