Herman Rambow Cue Identification
I need some help determining whether or not this pool cue is a Herman Rambow cue. It has 8 points, a brass joint, an ivory butt, and comes with 2 shafts.
My uncle gave me this cue years ago. Is it a Herman Rambow pool cue? Any ideas on value today?

Looking at your cue for the hallmarks of a Herman Rambow cue:
- Brass joint? Check.
- 4-point titlist blank forearm with no inlays? Check.
- Dark colored joint collar? Check.
- Timeline of your cue matches the timeline of the Herman Rambow cues? Not sure based on the info you provided.
Herman Rambow cues are hard to authenticate, but there are several folks well known to be able to authenticate a Herman Rambow Pool Cue:
- Paul Rubino (Rubino Cues, NY)
- Joel Hereck (Hercek Custom Cues, IL)
- Mark Kulungian (Classic Cues, CT)
These are the guys you want to contact. Mark is the man, and if appropriate will go the extra mile to properly authenticate and document the cue for your records, including using a notary public to witness and stamp the documents.
Good luck and let us know what you find out.
By the way, I've heard and read that a cue maker by the name of Craig Peterson became very good at making cues identical to Herman Rambow.
Craig Peterson told me early on he copied Rambows to the point where you couldn't tell from the real one.

Thank you, yes we are looking at late 50's early 60's.
Mark at Classic cues has it right now. Classic cues did confirm this is a Herman J. Rambow cue.
