Identifying 1970's 4-Point Cue

Identifying 1970's 4-Point Cue

Looking for help to identify this 1970's 4-point pool cue.

I ran across this cue and was wondering if anyone has an idea of who made it.

When I first got it in I was thinking it was just an old cue from Taiwan. After I started looking a little closer, I noticed that one of the shafts has an ivory ferrule and the other has had the ferrule replaced (poorly). It came in an old Fellini case (minus the cap unfortunately). The poor old thing has been "rode hard" .

Found out that it is a Richard Black cue and was made in 1976 or 1977.

It is a nice pool cue. I like the older vintage cues.

Any interest in selling it? I would offer $1,000.

By the way where are you located? I'm in Elgin, IL.

    Let me know.

I am thinking about sending it to Mr. Black and having it refinished.

I will eventually consider selling it. I haven't gotten any serious offers yet. Just the typical low ball offers.

Your offer is what I was thinking its worth for the shape its in.

I am in Amarillo, Texas. Do you know anyone in this area? I'm not a big fan of selling something to someone that hasn't seen the cue in person.

Sorry, I don't really know anyone in that area. If you can take some better pictures of the damaged areas and explain it. I can live with that.

Why don't you send them to my email:

I will take some more next week. The cue is at my shop right now, but things have been busy around there.

I will try and get some tomorrow or Saturday.

How far from Bensenville are you?

Sounds good. Can you tell me if everything is straight and the cue rolls without any wobble?

Are you traveling to Bensenville, Illinois? I only live about 15 miles from Bensenville, depending what side of town you are located.

Any luck getting the photos of the cue?

Thought I would give this another try.

    Any luck with the photos?

Did you still want to sell the cue?
