Helmstetter XIX Pool Cue ID and Info

Helmstetter XIX Pool Cue ID and Info

I am looking to identify this Helmstetter pool cue.

It has a roman numeral "XIX" on the butt cap.

I would also like to know it's age, model number, and value.

This is an Adam Helmstetter 98-8 pool cue from the Helmstetter 98 series (circa 1998).

It retailed at an MSRP of $350 USD, but could be purchased brand new at online billiard suppliers like Billiard Warehouse and others for $245 USD.

Here's the catalog description of the Helmstetter 98-8 pool cue:

Smoke-stained maple forearm, three long ebony points with a pearlized plastic dot in each alternating with three short ebony points with a pearlized plastic dot in each, ebony butt sleeve with six stylized smoke-stained maple windows inlaid with three ebony dots each set between rows of six pearlized plastic dots above and below.

The "XIX" is a date code (representing the month and year of it's completion). It's a flawed system for representing the date of the production run.

In this case it would be 10th month of 1999, I believe.

As proof of ID, here's an image of the same cue which still has the model number sticker.
