Custom Cuemaker MM?

Custom Cuemaker MM?

I’m trying to learn more about this cue made by "MM" in 1998.

Says "MM '98" on the forearm.

It has beautiful wood and inlay work with ivory, a leather wrap, and ivory butt.

There are also 3 matching shafts with this cue. One is extra-long.

Any info is appreciated.

First thought that comes to mind is Michael Morgan Cues out of Albany, NY. Highly sought-after. Couple of similar examples in the Blue Book as what you are showing above.

Here is another Michael Morgan custom cue with the "MM" letters on the forearm:

Thanks for the quick response. The ‘signature’ on this other cue doesn’t look the same, but that of course may have changed over time.

I’ll do some more digging with this in mind. Thanks!

Sounds good. Let me know if you find anything conclusive.

    I'll do the same.

Based on what I saw on the Michael Morgan fan page on Facebook, it appears to be a Titleist conversion. Saw these 2, one black wrap, one white - pics attached. Though it is strange that his initialing is different... Trying to get a sense of scarcity of his cues and value. Thanks again for the help!

I see two cues on that fan page where the "MM" is in upper-case like it is on yours (but not with quotes and the year). Even his blurb in the Blue Book of Cues says his markings have changed over the years.

I guess the only thing to do now is give him a call and ask him.

That is a cool cue stick for sure my friend.

How much would you take for your MM pool cue?

The cue is not for sale, but thanks for the note. Much appreciated.

    Best of luck.
