"Mikal" Pool Cue Information
I have a pool cue I acquired 30 years ago and I still use it. It has a logo "Mikal" on it. It is 20 oz. and 57.5" long.
I am wondering if anyone has heard of this company, where made, by who, and any other insights regarding the cue you might know.
By the way, I actually played Steve Mizerak once at an exhibition he was doing. He asked if anybody wanted to bet him on a game and I shot my hand up as quick as lightning. He told me he would give me his limo if I won, but no bet necessary! I played and was left with one ball on the table. I was about 19 years old in 1980. I'll never forget him.

To my eyes, that actually looks like an engraved personalization. Perhaps the original owner's name was "Mikal"?
Even around the letters themselves, there's what appears to be a raised rectangle. I've never seen any pool cue with that feature under a logo.
Everything about this is screaming "DIY engraving".
By the way, thank you so much for sharing that Steve Mizerak story. What a great memory!
I half expected you to say "and then I owned a limo", but then remembered, it's Steve Mizerak. :)

Amazing after all this time that I got even one worthy response. Thanks for that. Y'know, I just retired from teaching after 30 years, and moved from Oregon to Kentucky. I told my wife if you get me to move again it will have to be to a log cabin and I will want a pool table in the house. THis all came to fruitiion last year and I now have a mancave complete with pool table, ping pong table, mini bar, darts and kitchenette. I still use that stick.🎱
