Continental Fiberglass Cue

I found these two cues of my grandfather's but I cannot find anything about them.

The cue says "Continental Fiber Glass Cue Pat. Pending"

I can't find anything about Continental. Is it a company? I know next to nothing about cues other than from recreational pool playing.

The second cue has no maker or identification.
