1976 Meucci Originals Cue ID and Value

1976 Meucci Originals Cue ID and Value

My Grandpa bought this Meucci Originals cue stick directly from Bob Meucci back in 1975 or 76, along with a Felini cue case, both of which I guess are worth something.

My Nana still has some of the paperwork from the order.

The pool cue stick does not have any markings on it though. I would say it's condition is an 8 out of 10, I believe.

I also have 3 shafts, my Grandpa let someone use it one time and he nicked the shaft so he made him buy a brand new one lol.

I'm just curious what model Meucci Original cue this is.

From reading the posts at Make, Model, and Value of 1970s Meucci Originals Cue, it looks like it might be a Meucci Originals MO-5 cue.

I would like to verify the model and get your opinion on what you think of the cue stick and how much it is worth?

That's a really nice example of what I believe to be a custom or one-off Meucci Originals cue.

The fact that you have the original paperwork, the extra shafts, and the full back-story of the cue is fantastic.

I believe it has most of the design from the Meucci MO-7 pool cue (see image below), except:

    1. It has a plain white area in the butt sleeve vs. the black with white rectangles.
    2. The "chain link" design is slightly different

Don't fixate on the colors of the points, there are commonly many variations within the same models.

Does it not have a "Meucci Originals" stamp on it anywhere? 1976 would have been just one year after he started the company (though he did make cues under the BMC brand and others before that).

Either way, great cue, and thanks for sharing it here! I would LOVE to see a photo of the paperwork. That might help us give you some more info.
