Cone Cue Chalk Talc?

Cone Cue Chalk Talc?

Because I got a pool table for my new house, a friend gave me a cone of what appears to be chalk. I'm not a pool hall guy, so exactly how is this stuff used?

What you received is talc for your pool cue (or hands) that is intended to make the cue slide easily through your fingers when using a hand-bridge. (normally, the cue sticks to your hand, causing a less than smooth stroke-through)

Basically, there are holders that mount on a wall that you load the cone on to.

Then, when you cue shaft feels like it is not gliding over your hand very easily, you rub it along this cone of chalk. This will help cut down on friction and make your stroke more smooth.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any other questions.
